Who is treating your skin
Confidence in every credential
Minnesota raised the standard in 2018. We treat that as the floor.
The Advanced Practice Aesthetician licence was created by Minnesota's Board of Cosmetologist Examiners in 2018 to require more education and more clinical training than a basic esthetician licence. Every skin treatment on this page is performed by an APE-licensed aesthetician.
“When it comes to your skin, credentials matter. Choosing an Advanced Practice Aesthetician means choosing expertise, safety, and confidence in your care.”
Look up a provider's MN license- Anna Randall, Advanced Practice Aesthetician
- Anna completed her Advanced Practice Esthiology license at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. “I love offering treatments that are results driven, helping clients achieve their skin goals.”
- Your skin is read before it is treated.
- Most of our facials include a customised step — which exfoliation, which mask, which serum — chosen for the skin in front of us on the day rather than fixed in advance. If your skin is reactive, congested or mid-breakout, say so at the start and the plan changes.
- Medical-grade means the product line, too.
- DiamondGlow is powered by SkinMedica Pro-Infusion serums; peels are Vi-Peel and Perfection Lift; masks are IS Clinical and Clarity RX. Microneedling is done with SkinPen, the first microneedling device approved by the FDA for correcting multiple complexion issues.
The results-first tier
Signature & premium facials
Three treatments built for visible change rather than an hour of relaxation — though you get that too. All three include LED light therapy and a massage element.
Beauty HQ Signature Facial
Designed for show-stopping results before a special event or photoshoot. A customized resurfacing step — gentle exfoliation, dermaplaning or an enzyme mask — then two masks chosen for your skin, LED light therapy to stimulate collagen and calm inflammation, and three massage techniques to boost circulation and lymphatic flow. Skin leaves soft, supple and luminous.
Diamond Glow Facial
A patented recessed diamond-tip wand exfoliates to uncover renewed skin, extracts to deep-clean pores, and infuses SkinMedica Pro-Infusion serums — deeper than a traditional wet facial. Our own touch: a neck, shoulder or scalp massage while you lie under the red light. Good for all skin types, and for the body, back, neck, chest and hands. No downtime.
Renew Facial — anti-aging, microcurrent
Turn back the clock. Targets fine lines, wrinkles and loss of elasticity, especially around the eyes and mouth, using an anti-aging micro-current pen to stimulate collagen, smooth texture and firm the skin. A hydrating, firming mask follows, with your choice of scalp, neck and shoulder, or hand and arm massage.
One concern at a time
Targeted facials
Acne, congestion, dehydration, dullness, an event on Saturday. Each of these is built around a single job rather than a general glow, which is why they cost less and take less time.
Fire & Ice Facial — includes dermaplaning
A unique combination of heat and cooling to restore your skin’s glow and vitality, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. Suits all ages and skin types, and the included dermablading — removing the peach fuzz — leaves the skin smooth and glowing.
Detox Facial — lymphatic cupping, salt mask
Deep cleansing paired with gentle lymphatic drainage using the cupping method to flush toxins, reduce puffiness and stimulate circulation. A Pink Himalayan Salt mask, then a relaxing neck and shoulder massage. Ideal for tired, congested or stressed skin that needs a total refresh.
Quench Facial — deep hydration, LED
Deep, lasting hydration for dry, dull or dehydrated skin. Facial massage with chilled bulbs and your choice of our antioxidant mango mask or soothing cucumber mask, so the mask penetrates and replenishes from within, then LED light therapy with a scalp massage. Skin leaves plump, smooth and radiant.
Foaming Enzyme Treatment Facial
Powerful yet soothing. Papaya and pineapple enzymes with a botanically derived glycolic acid, massaged on as a foaming masque while steam helps it diffuse, with extractions as needed. Good for all skin types — skin leaves clear, polished and glowing.
Adult Hormonal Acne Facial
For adults with hormonal acne. Steam warms the skin to loosen clogged pores before extractions, then a Mediterranean Detoxifying Mud mask pulls out difficult congestion while you enjoy a scalp massage. We finish by putting hydration back, so you leave deeply cleaned and confident in your skin. Extra extractions can be added.
Teen or Hormonal Acne Facial
The same deep-clean approach for teen and hormonal breakouts in a shorter session: steam, extractions, a detoxifying mask and hydration put back at the end.
Dermablading — on its own
A specialized instrument gently shaves away dead skin cells and peach fuzz, revealing brighter, more radiant skin and letting your products penetrate deeper. With regular treatments you will notice the difference. Also available as an add-on to any facial.
Most people who suffer from acne overdry their skin, which causes more breakouts — that is why both acne facials end by putting hydration back. Fire & Ice includes dermaplaning, which shaves away the uppermost layers of skin and the peach fuzz so makeup and skincare go on smoother.
Microneedling & medium-depth peels
SkinPen Microneedling & advanced peels
This is the corrective tier: scarring, texture, pores, pigment, melasma and body acne. These treatments involve real downtime and are normally done as a series, so plan them well away from an event.
SkinPen Microneedling
The only microneedling device approved by the FDA, for scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and tone and texture issues. A series spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended.
No Filter Needed SkinPen
SkinPen Microneedling with Ariessence Pure PDGF+ worked directly into the skin during the treatment, so the growth factors reach the layer the needles open. The upgrade most people ask about once they have had a standard SkinPen.
Vi-Peel — Face
A top-of-the-line chemical peel for fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, melasma, acne and uneven tone. Several peel formulas, all good for all skin types — we help you choose the right one.
Vi-Peel — Body
A professional-grade body peel for pigmentation, body acne, surgical scars and stretch marks, safe for all skin types and tones. The area treated is set at your consultation.
SkinPen is FDA-approved for correcting scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines, tone, texture and overall skin appearance; a series is normally recommended, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Vi-Peel has several formulas — Precision Plus for sun damage, melasma and post-inflammatory pigmentation, Purity for pigmentation with active acne — and we help you choose. The Body Vi-Peel is a professional-grade body peel for pigmentation, body acne, surgical scars and stretch marks, safe for all skin types and tones.
Many clients pair a facial with Botox in the same visit — ask at booking so we schedule the time for both.

Series and packages are available on request.
SkinPen, Vi-Peel and DiamondGlow all work cumulatively, so most plans are written as a series from the start. Ask at your consultation and we will put a package together for the plan your aesthetician actually recommends. The Beauty HQ membership takes 10% off aesthetic services and 15% off retail on top.
Straight answers
What people ask before booking a treatment
How does SkinPen Micro-needling work?
The SkinPen device creates tiny micro-injuries in the surface of the skin. This triggers a healing response, increasing collagen and elastin production, which helps repair and rejuvenate the skin from the inside out. Helps with overall skin appearance, tone, texture, acne scars, pores and pigment. Safe for all skin types and tones. Ask about upgrading to the No Filter Needed SkinPen.
When will I see my results after a SkinPen?
Some changes may be noticeable within a few weeks, but because collagen remodeling takes time, the most visible improvements often appear over several weeks to months after treatments. Normally it's recommended to do a series of 3, anytime 2–4 weeks apart.
What is the difference between a Diamond Glow Facial and a HydraFacial?
DiamondGlow uses a diamond-tipped wand for deeper physical exfoliation, while HydraFacial provides lighter chemical exfoliation. DiamondGlow infuses customized SkinMedica® serums directly into freshly exfoliated skin, making it ideal for more corrective concerns such as texture, fine lines, acne, and stubborn discoloration, leaving your skin soft and glowing. HydraFacial focuses on hydration and glow through its vortex infusion system, using a light chemical exfoliation to remove any buildup on the skin.
What can I expect from the Vi-Peel, and how should I prepare for the downtime?
The Vi-Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel designed to target fine lines, wrinkles, and improve the overall tone and texture of your skin. During the treatment, the peel solution is applied and must remain on the skin for at least 4 hours or more to achieve optimal results. You can expect some downtime on the day of application, primarily because the peel needs time to work beneath the surface. Starting on the second or third day post-treatment, you will experience visible peeling, which is the phase where most of the downtime occurs.
Book the facial, decide the rest in the chair.
Your aesthetician reads your skin before anything is applied, so if the treatment you booked is not the right one that day, she will tell you. Start anywhere on the menu.
