Before you book anywhere

Who should
inject you?

In Minnesota, the answer is not obvious — so here is ours, in writing.

At Beauty HQ, all injectable treatments are exclusively performed by a licensed Registered Nurse or higher-level medical provider. That is a policy, not a coincidence, and it is the first thing we want you to check — here or anywhere else.

“We always recommend you do your research on your provider. You want to know who is injecting your beautiful face.”

Or meet our registered nurse injectors first.

Injectables are prescription medication.
Neurotoxin and dermal filler are not skincare. Registered Nurses train in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and medication safety, which is what allows a provider to assess you properly, recognize a contraindication before treating, and respond appropriately if something needs attention afterwards.
Registered nurses only, and one of them has 17 years in pediatrics.
Nicole Wente, RN spent 17 years as a pediatric nurse at Children's Hospital before opening the clinic — “my background in pediatric nursing guides my soft and gentle touch.” Charisma Vang, RN injects alongside her.
Conservative is the default here.
“I take a more conservative approach with my treatments to ensure it doesn't look or feel overdone.” If your worry is looking treated rather than looking rested, say so at the consultation — it is the plan we default to anyway.
Nothing gets injected at the consultation you didn't agree to.
The injectable consultation is 30 minutes and carries no obligation to treat that day. You leave knowing what is recommended, what it costs, and what the downtime looks like.

Neurotoxin

Botox & Dysport

Both are neurotoxins that, when expertly placed, most commonly treat forehead lines, frown lines (the 11s between the brows), crow's feet, bunny lines, lip flips, chin dimpling, TMJ jaw clenching, neck bands and the trap box. Your provider assesses your facial anatomy and your goals to decide the plan.

Dysport

30 min

Micro-Tox — full face, neck or chest

45 min

Hyperhidrosis — underarms

45 min

Your plan is measured in units, and it is yours alone.

How many units you need depends on your muscle strength, your anatomy and the areas you want treated, and that number differs from person to person and from one area to the next. You get an exact unit count and price transparency for your exact total at your personalized consultation, before anything is injected. Membership pricing is available: see the pricing page.

Micro-Tox: full face, neck or chest

Micro-Tox is a different technique rather than a different product: it targets the layer between muscle and dermis to smooth crepey skin, necklace lines and platysmal bands. If you want a standard tox treatment at the same visit, book the Micro-Tox appointment on its own — there is time for both. Allē and Aspire rewards apply to Botox and Dysport respectively.

Hyperhidrosis: excessive sweating

Neurotoxin has medical uses alongside the cosmetic ones, including migraines, neck tension, masseter relaxation and hyperhidrosis. For excessive underarm sweating, the treatment area is mapped and injected in a single 45-minute appointment. Results can last 6 to 9 months, and sometimes up to a year.

Two-week follow-up appointments for tox (15 min) and filler (30 min) are bookable separately if you want your result reviewed.

Hyaluronic acid

Dermal Fillers — Juvederm, Restylane & RHA

HA fillers are designed to restore lost volume, soften folds, enhance and define the natural contours of the face. HA filler can be used in areas such as the cheeks and chin to help provide structure and support, and it can also be used in your nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lips, jawline, and even your hands.

RHA fillers

Juvederm fillers

Restylane fillers

Hylenex, dissolves HA filler

While all HA fillers have a gel-like consistency, they each serve a different purpose. A softer, more flexible filler may be ideal for delicate areas like the lips or nasolabial folds, while a firmer, more structural filler would be used in the cheeks and chin to provide structure and support. Choosing the right filler for the area being addressed is not something you have to worry about. Your provider will evaluate your anatomy, skin and goals to determine which filler, and how much, is right for you.

Not sure which product or which area? Book a filler appointment and we will reach out to confirm the product with you before your visit.

Collagen stimulator

Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra is not a filler in the usual sense. It works with your body to stimulate collagen production lost to aging and weight loss by rebuilding the skin's structural foundation. Sculptra uses PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) microparticles to help stimulate the replacement of lost collagen and improve skin quality. It can be used throughout the face in areas experiencing age-related volume loss. The result is a more refreshed, natural-looking appearance that develops over time rather than appearing instantly.

Sculptra Aesthetic — face

Because Sculptra builds gradually, the number of sessions is decided at consultation rather than promised in advance. Aspire rewards apply.

Multi-area

Facial Balancing

Facial balancing is a personalized approach to overall symmetry and proportion rather than a single-area fix. This treatment uses either dermal filler, Sculptra, or a combination of both, strategically across the features that carry facial structure (commonly cheeks, jawline, chin and lips), and because every face is different, the exact areas are decided during your consultation. Mini is for treating minor to moderate volume loss, whereas Full is going to address moderate to severe volume loss.

Tox + peel

GloTox

GloTox pairs a Vi-Peel with neurotoxin in one visit: the peel resurfaces for tone, texture and clarity while the tox softens fine lines. Minimal downtime beyond the peel's own.

GloTox — Vi-Peel portion

45 min

To clarify what's included: the GloTox appointment includes the peel, which is performed during the same visit as your tox treatment. Peel first, then tox. Your Botox or Dysport treatment is then customized separately, adding in the number of units used.

Legs & face

Spider Vein Treatment

Coming soon

A solution is injected into the unwanted vein, causing it to collapse and gradually fade from view while the surrounding skin is left unharmed. It is minimally invasive with little to no downtime, and it is customized to the size, location and severity of the veins. Most clients see noticeable improvement over a series of treatments rather than after one.

Spider vein treatment is not officially launched yet. Ask at your consultation and we will let you know as soon as it is bookable.

Regenerative

Ariessence Pure PDGF+

Growth factors that encourage your own collagen and elastin rather than adding volume. Ariessence Pure PDGF+ is a pharmaceutical-grade platelet-derived growth factor, so the concentration is the same at every application instead of depending on your own platelet production. It is used during a SkinPen treatment, injected under the eyes, or applied to the scalp for hair restoration.

What the manufacturer says

Ariessence states that Pure PDGF+ is the culmination of 30 years of work by Dr. Samuel Lynch with platelet-derived growth factor — which Ariessence describes as the only growth factor to have received FDA approval in four medical therapeutic products — and that its formula contains up to 300,000 times the growth factor concentration of traditional PRP applications.

These are the manufacturer's claims, reproduced here because they are the reason we chose the product — not our own clinical promise. Individual results vary, nothing on this page is medical advice, and suitability for any injectable is determined by your provider at consultation. Read our medical disclaimer.

Straight answers

What people ask before their first injection

When will I see results of my Botox treatment and how long does it last?

You may start to see results in 3–5 days, with full results visible around 10–14 days after treatment. Results typically last 3–4 months, depending on factors like metabolism, muscle strength, dosing and treatment area.

Is there downtime with injectable treatments?

There is little to no downtime for most of our injectable services. With that said, anytime you are being injected there is always a chance of bruising and sometimes swelling. Less common with Botox and Dysport, can be more common with HA fillers like Juvederm or Restylane products. If you have a big event coming up, we recommend that you plan well in advance for any potential bruising, and give the products time to kick in so your results are fresh for your event. Your provider can go over all potential downtime prior to being treated.

What should I avoid before my tox appointment?

Things to avoid before your tox appointment: alcohol, aspirin and NSAIDs like ibuprofen, supplements like fish oil or Vitamin E, or anything that could thin your blood, unless medically necessary. Never stop taking prescribed medications without your doctor's consent.

What should I avoid after Botox or Dysport?

For best results, avoid: lying flat for 4 hours; rubbing or massaging treated areas; strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours, getting hot and sweaty; saunas; alcohol for 24 hours; getting a massage and applying pressure to the treated area; hats.

What if I don't like my Tox or Filler results?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers can be adjusted or dissolved if necessary. Our goal is for you to feel confident and happy with your results. If it's been 4 weeks since your treatment we can make adjustments if needed at that time. Always reach out to the practice with any concerns.

Does lip filler hurt?

We use a topical numbing cream to numb the area prior to injections, and most lip filler contains a built-in numbing agent. Using this combination of numbing it helps maximize comfort. Clients typically describe the sensation as pressure or mild pinching. So overall you are pretty comfortable during the treatment.
